Belize, May 2003

The next day we rented some bikes and rode up through the small town of San Pedro, where we were staying, and went a bit north up the coast of the caye. It was pretty remote once you got through the town with mostly houses and resorts along the sand road. Incidentally, here's a piece of trivia: the Madonna song "La Isla Bonita" was written about Amergris Caye. That's exciting stuff, lemme tell ya. Anyway, this was a sign we saw while biking.
